Faculty Appointments in the Institute
As per the standard practice and
requirements, we have four core departments for teaching in the
institute. These are F&B Service, F&B Production, Front Office and
Housekeeping. The last two have been combined under the common name
of Rooms Division. This is also the practice in most hotels where
front office, reservations and housekeeping come under Director,
Rooms Division.
It will be our policy to have a
teacher-student ratio of 1:20 , which is on accepted international
norms. In fact considering the students on business internship, the
ratio may be 1:15 for students on the campus.
All the faculty
members have
received academic training from a senior consultant from EHL for one
week in India . Seven of them also visited to the EHL campus in
Switzerland for one week of Trainers Learning Programme.
